Ajax forward Brian Brobbey has revealed that Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag told him in a message that he would love to have him at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag, who replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer towards the end of last season, has made some exciting signings, including two players from Ajax.
The Dutchman signed Lisandro Martinez and Antony from the Dutch giants and showed strong interest in signing Jurrien Timber but the deal did not materialise.
It’s not a secret that the Man United boss has much faith in his old players at Ajax and Brobbey, has claimed that Ten Hag told him he would like to coach him at the Theatre of Dreams.
While he didn’t rule himself out of a possible move to reunite with his boss at Manchester United in the future, the Dutch forward said he has to prove himself first in the Eredivisie.
“Erik [ten Hag] sent me a message, yes,” Brobbey told VoetbalPrimeur. “To congratulate me, and to tell me that he would like to have me at Manchester United. But I’m not finished at Ajax yet, I want to show something here first.”
On which club he hopes to play for one day, the young forward said: “Manchester United.”
