Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has described the Europa League knockout play-off draw against Manchester United as the ‘worst’ draw his side could have got.
Man United finished 2nd in Group E of the Europa League after they failed to beat Real Sociedad by a two-goal margin last week Thursday.
Barcelona got relegated from the Champions League after they finished 3rd behind Bayern Munich and Inter Milan in the group stage.
Both historic clubs are drawn against each other in the Europa League knockout play-off and only one will go through to the round of 16.
“They are a historic side, they have grown a lot with Ten Hag, they have great players. It’s the worst draw we could have got. Once again. No luck.”
