The Red Devils will welcome the Gunners at Old Trafford on Sunday in the Premier League and the Reds will only think about extending their unbeaten run to five matches.
United used a 4-4-2 diamond formation on Wednesday night in the Champions League and scored five unreplied goals against RB Leipzig.
Before the win, Man United had already won and drawn against PSG in France with a 3-4-1-2 formation and Chelsea at Old Trafford with a 4-2-3-1 formation respectively.
It is unclear which formation Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would go with against the Gunners is wary of United’s front line as he feels the likes of Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have a really good understanding.
The trio provided 62 goals across all competitions last season and Solskjaer signed Edinson Cavani to one more goalscoring opportunity in his front line.
‘They [Manchester United’s forwards] create really good relationships and they’re all very different,’ Arteta said.
‘They glide together, have really good understanding and chemistry on the pitch. You can see that.
‘Since the lockdown, Ole has managed to improve that a lot and you can see that at the end of [last] season, the amount of goals and types of goals they were scoring. They’re a threat.
‘They can play two or three different formations… they’ve been changing some things because of the opponents, because of the quality of players they have and sometimes to change the game in certain moments.
‘We have to be prepared for that because they have that adaptability, they have a big squad and up front they have a lot of options to do different things.’
‘I want to believe we’re getting closer to getting the win there,’ the Gunners boss added.
‘For sure our mindset is going to be to go there and win. That’s the approach we’re going to have and the gameplay we’re going to put in place.’
