Anthony Martial admits he'd give up his goals for Man United win vs Man City

Anthony Martial has admitted that he would have exchanged his late brace for a Manchester United win over Manchester City last weekend.

Man City thrashed Man United 6-3 at the Etihad on Sunday in the Premier League and ended United’s premature run of four league wins.

United were trailing 5-1 before Anthony Martial‘s cameo and the France star, whose last appearance was against Liverpool, scored twice to reduce whatever shame Manchester United fans were enduring at the away end.

The former Monaco forward has suggested that team’s result comes first and said he wouldn’t mind giving his two goals of the season in an exchange for a Man United win over City.

Speaking after the defeat, the Frenchman told CANAL+: “I would have preferred not to score and win this game [vs Man City], but it’s always good to come back on the grass and score. We are really frustrated. We are going to give everything to come back for the next game.
