Anthony Elanga: Everton show loan move interest in Manchester United forward

Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga is attracting interest from Premier League side, Everton, according to reports.

Elanga has struggled for game time since the signing of Antony from Ajax over the summer and the little minutes he’s managed so far in the first half of the season could further be thwarted as Man United could lure at least one forward in January.

According to reports, Manchester United are the favourites to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica but there’s a slim chance that he will join the Red Devils next month.

Some reports have also suggested that Cody Gakpo could move to Old Trafford in the winter transfer market and should this be true, whatever playing time Anthony Elanga was hoping to pocket in the second half of the season would take a hard turn.

However, his chances of pocketing more playing time would improve if he left Manchester United in January for a new club.

According to The Athletic, Everton are keen on signing Anthony Elanga from Manchester United on a loan deal in January.

It’s up to Erik ten Hag to decide whether Elanga would not be needed in the second half of the season.

Everton signed Donny van de Beek from Man United last season on a loan deal but it didn’t turn out the way Frank Lampard had wanted.

Elanga has made 10 appearances in the league and has featured in two of United’s Carabao Cup fixtures this season so far.

The Sweden international made two appearances in the Europa League and hasn’t scored a goal for United this season.
