Barcelona are reportedly planning on making a summer move for Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho, according to reports in Spain.
Garnacho has impressed loads of Man United fans with his top performances in recent games.
The 18-year-old came off the bench to provide two assists that helped Manchester United stage a remarkable 4-2 comeback win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup third round on Thursday night.
His top performances haven’t gone unnoticed as Spanish journalist Fichajes, reported that Barcelona are monitoring Alejandro Garnacho’s progress and will try to sign him in the 2023 summer transfer window.
Garnacho is one of the exciting prospects in Europe, having provided two assists and scored one in his last four matches.
The Argentine scored the only goal in Spain when Manchester United managed a tight 1-0 win over Real Sociedad in the last group stage of the Europa League.
He replicated the same performance against Aston Villa on Thursday night when he made an instant impact upon coming off the bench halfway through the second half.
Erik ten Hag was pleased with the winger’s performance against Unai Emery’s side and said:
On Garnacho’s performance, Erik ten Hag added: “I think it was good that also when he [Alejandro Garnacho] came on that he showed performance that he has an impact in the game.
“Quite clear, with two assists, some good dribbles, runs behind, but also some things he has to improve.
“For instance, when we go for the long ball, don’t go for the header with Scott McTominay, go for the second ball.”
According to MEN, Alejandro Garnacho has an active contract with Manchester United that runs until 2025.
Garnacho is gradually becoming fans favorite, with Jadon Sancho struggling to make impacts lately.
